Vision’s Heavy Duty Zero Emission Tyrano™ Truck is Targeting to Replace Short Haul Diesel Trucks in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach; Vision Aims to Provide Hydrogen Refueling Stations It Doesn’t Get Any Greener Than This! Just Imagine – A truck with zero emissions, zero fossil fuels, zero CO2, zero noise pollution, zero carbon footprint, 402HP, and nearly double the pulling power Vision Motors Cheetah™ is World’s 1st Hydrogen-powered “Green” Supercar faster than Ferrari, Porsche, or Lamborghini from 0 to 60 mph Today, The Green Baron Report will introduce you to a stock that we will likely be talking about for years to come. This is truly a special company, focused on bringing the world an advanced real solution to many problems we now face with emission of greenhouse gases from trucks and cars. The benefits are so revolutionary that we believe this Company is literally years ahead of the competition. This is a story that we believe world news agencies will soon report on, but we will be among the first. The Green Baron Report is proud to announce that Vision Industries Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: VIIC) is officially our 75th fully profiled stock pick and will be added to our storied list of previously profiled stocks on our home page. Results compiled from the most recent trade possible prior to dissemination of this report to the subsequent high will be monitored at www.thegreenbaron.com. Although we have very aggressive short and long term expectations for this stock, we still suggest our members try to accumulate shares as close to today’s profile price as possible. TRADER’S NOTES: VIIC common stock began trading recently in January, 2009 and almost immediately jumped from about $1.00 per share to as high as $3.65 per share within a few months even in a poorly traded general market. Vision has a tight, small float of less than five million shares and a respectable total of about 29 million total shares outstanding at this time. VIIC can make large percentage jumps due to its small float, and we believe this stock can fly if just one national paper, television station, or magazine picks up on this amazing story. Regardless, we believe VIIC can easily go back to the $2.50 to $3.00 area with just a little buying interest. Vision Industries is a fully reporting, OTC Bulletin Board listed now trading near its year low below $1.00 per share. Green Baron Editor in Chief’s Personal Experience: A few weeks ago our Editor in Chief personally visited with President and CEO Martin Schuermann and Chairman and COO Lawrence Weisdorn to see the Tyrano™ truck operate in person at the Los Angeles Freightliner test facilities in Whittier, California. Although the truck is still in advanced development stages, we were able to watch the truck back up, drive at low speeds, and take a short test ride. The first noticeable difference is the noise. Diesel trucks are just loud. We would say this truck is virtually quieter than a small passenger car. The cabin is the same as any truck and purchasers are expected to be able to specially design the interior just like current trucks. Since there is no diesel, the diesel emissions and its smell are gone. Since the truck is still in developmental stages, we could not take it on highways to test high speeds. However, the power is evident and pulling capacity has been measured to be well in excess of double what is currently available. The statistical comparisons to existing truck alternatives make this truck choice a no-brainer. See more on this later. The program to replace 16,800 short haul diesel trucks in the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach by year 2012 is an initial opportunity that Vision Industries believes is an ideal way to demonstrate its superior trucks to the world. Vision is working closely with huge Los Angeles Freightliner to produce and sell not only the most advanced “Green” truck on in the world, but the best performing truck backed by manufacturers’ warranties that include coverage of the fuel cells and the electric engine. About Vision Industries Corp: Vision is a provider of plug-in electric/hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles and turnkey hydrogen fueling systems. Vision’s proprietary plug-in electric/hydrogen fuel cell drive system combines the superior acceleration of a battery powered electric vehicle with the extended range provided by a hydrogen fuel cell. The Vision vehicles use plug-in electricity for the first portion of their journeys with the hydrogen fuel cell providing them with extended range, if needed. Vision uses major manufacturers as partners or sub contractors to produce its vehicles. This business approach avoids massive outlays of startup capital. Many regional, state and federal alternative energy programs in the form of grants, tax credits and loans exist or are planned. Vision is the creator of the Cheetah™, the world’s 1st plug-in electric/hydrogen fuel cell powered supercar, featuring zero emissions and accelerating 0 to 60 MPH faster than production Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and the battery powered Tesla. Vision is also the creator of the Tyrano™, the world’s 1st plug-in electric/hydrogen fuel cell powered heavy duty class 8 truck, featuring zero emissions, reduced fueling costs and superior performance. Vision also provides turnkey hydrogen fueling systems to refuel its vehicles. About Hydrogen as a fuel: Hydrogen is the answer to our long-term clean energy demands. When produced with renewable resources, the resulting “Green” hydrogen is truly environmentally harmless and sustainable. Hydrogen is carbon free and is naturally the most abundant solution to our energy crisis. A hydrogen fuel cell converts 1 kg of hydrogen into approximately 20KW of electricity and all hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are electric powered. So where do you get hydrogen for your car? This is by far the most difficult obstacle to overcome for hydrogen-powered vehicles. There are currently 39 hydrogen refueling stations in California, with many more in the planning stages and under construction. Presently the alternative fuel industry is experiencing a “catch 22” with regard to the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles and the corresponding infrastructure to supply fuel. Vision is diligently working to dissolve the “catch 22” by providing both the vehicles and their fueling systems for selected markets in southern California. Battery vs. Hydrogen: Hydrogen as an energy storage medium is the most efficient battery on a pound for pound basis. The Cheetah Hydrogen drive system, containing 4.8 Kg of hydrogen, produces a usable 94KW of electricity and weighs approximately 410 lbs or 4.4 lbs per KW. The Tesla’s 53KW battery pack weighs 992 lbs and releases a usable 45KW or 18.7 lbs per KW. To replace the Cheetah’s 410 lb hydrogen drive system with batteries, the replacement battery pack would have to weigh 1,750 pounds! The weight savings translate into better performance and greater range. Vision is working with regional, state & local officials as well as general industry participants in order to manifest our mission in a uniform manner. It is bringing the zero emissions, renewable, alternative energy hydrogen revolution to market and making it available to all. Hydrogen Safety - Hydrogen has many safe properties that include being non-toxic, burns rapidly, and emits one-tenth the radiant heat of a hydrocarbon fire. It also produces no smoke or emissions, dissipates quickly in open spaces, and is 14.4 times lighter than air. For more information on Hydrogen Safety, please visit: http://www.hydrogenassociation.org/general/factSheet_safety.pdf The Port Problem · Up to 2,800 premature deaths per year attributed to diesel particulate emissions emanating from the Ports. · Intense political pressure to clean up the Ports’ emissions. · Expansion and growth of the Ports are blocked until methods to reduce emissions are implemented. The Port Solution The Los Angeles Harbor Commission and Long Beach Commission have approved a measure that will place a $35 charge on every loaded twenty foot equivalent (TEU) cargo container entering or leaving the Port of Los Angeles cargo terminals by short-haul (or “drayage”) trucks beginning June 1, 2008. The nation’s two largest container ports will use the proceeds to fund a $2 billion Clean Trucks Program -- $1.6 billion generated by the Clean Trucks Fee and an additional $400 million in anticipated grant funding from the state of California -- initiative that will replace or retrofit the existing fleet of trucks that serve the San Pedro Bay Ports over the next five years – reducing port related truck emissions 80 percent. All funds collected by the two ports would be used for the replacement of about 16,800 trucks by 2012 with clean diesel trucks, or trucks fueled by liquefied natural gas (LNG) or other approved technologies that can achieve the 2007 standard adopted in the ports’ Clean Air Action Plan. Up to 80% of the new truck purchase price will be paid by the fund. Vision Industries Solution - The 2009 Freightliner Tyrano™ The Tyrano™ heavy duty class 8 truck is estimated to be 35% cheaper to operate than current diesel powered trucks, and 50% cheaper than liquefied natural gas. It is believed to be the world’s first “green” class 8 truck having zero emissions, zero CO2, zero fossil fuels, zero fossil fuels, zero noise pollution, and a zero carbon footprint. Vision is constantly evaluating the best manufacturers the world for its primary components. Fuel cell companies it is evaluating include Hydrogenics, Ballard, and Nuvera. Its electric motors are coming from such companies as Siemens and Cal Motors. It is important that Vision chooses component manufacturers that stand behind their product and performance. See following chart for a wonderful comparison. Alternative Vehicle Solutions Comparisons of Short Haul Trucks (Annual) (City and Highway combined 50,000 miles per year)
Vision Industries Fueling Solution The 16,800 trucks operate within what is locally known as the “Golden Horseshoe”. This refers to the geographic area within 50 miles of the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The trucks return to the ports several times per day so the optimal fueling location is at three strategic locations within the ports. Vision Industries is in the process of securing what it believes to be the premier fueling locations, and has a plan to own and operate these stations. If the entire short haul fleet converts from 2007 clean diesel standards to hydrogen, annual: · Particulate emissions would be reduced by 415,000 pounds · Hydrocarbon emissions would be reduced by 5,800,000 pounds · Nox emissions would be reduced by a minimum of 3,500,000 tons · The entire fleet can be refueled from three stations within the port · Ports would be the first to implement “zero emission” transportation solution · Ports can set the worldwide standard for an environmentally friendly port operation Recent Press Releases April 15, 2009 – Vision Industries Corp.’s Zero Emission Tyrano™ Truck Completes Second Stage of Performance Testing – LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) - Vision Industries Corp. Green Baron Conclusion Vision Industries Corporation has identified an ideal opportunity to demonstrate and deliver a superior “green” product to the market. After lengthy discussions with management, we are convinced that its Tyrano™ Truck will receive accolades from media and its customers. More importantly, use of these trucks may lead to a significant reduction in particulate, hydrocarbon, and Nox in and around the port areas of Long Beach and Los Angeles. We expect delivery of the first trucks to begin by the end of 2009, and volume to increase substantially in 2010. Ownership of hydrogen refueling stations at three strategic locations in and around the Ports would provide that “razor blade” recurring revenue stream that causes forward looking numbers to jump dramatically. Vision Industries is set up very lean when it comes to needs for operating capital. It has no manufacturing or assembly facilities, and its only real overhead now is its General and Administration (G&A) costs. Due to significant cost savings attributed to the drop in prices of fuel cells, engines and other components seemingly each month, it is difficult to determine exactly how much Vision will make on each truck. Regardless, we have estimated that Vision can breakeven with sales of just five or six trucks per month. Profit from its planned hydrogen refueling station will be a factor of how many new vehicles are put on the road. Our conservative estimates have Vision Industries going profitable next year in 2010. The Green Baron Report believes that capable, experienced management is making extremely fast progress to bring the Tyrano™ Freightliner truck to full scale production. Although Vision will initially focus on the trucks, its high performance hydrogen powered Cheetah™ Supercar may evolve into a very profitable venture as hydrogen refueling stations become more abundant. Marketing opportunities also will develop in other areas including forklifts, golf carts, recreational vehicles, auxiliary power units, and military vehicles. Vision Industries intends to become a one stop solution to provide a truly pollution free or reduced pollution, alternative energy conversion solution for today’s drivers. Unlike Ford, General Motors, or Chrysler who never understood that it would make sense to build the cars AND profit from the fuel you put in them, Vision is fully aware that hydrogen refueling stations is a huge business of the future. Vision has identified a plan that virtually assures that its trucks MUST refuel from its own refueling stations. Now THAT is what we call vision. Contact:Investor Contact:
